What is the Consistency rule?
Your single best day may not represent more than 40% of your total results (30% on Fty Direct). It rewards steady trading over one lucky day.
Updated October 11, 2026
The Consistency rule makes sure a pass or a payout reflects repeatable trading, not a single oversized day.
The rule
- Challenge Rapid, Challenge Steady and Funded accounts: your best day may not be more than 40% of your total results.
- Fty Direct: your best day may not be more than 30% of your total results.
How it is calculated
- Take your total results on the account (sum of all closed trading days).
- Find your single most profitable day.
- Divide that day by the total. If the result is above the limit, you are not consistent yet.
Example on a $100K Challenge Rapid
Your total results are $6,000 and your best day made $3,000. That day is 50% of the total, above the 40% limit. You cannot pass yet. Keep trading: when your total reaches $7,500, the same $3,000 day becomes 40% and the rule is met.
Important: it does not close your account
Failing the Consistency rule is never a breach. It only delays the pass or the payout until your results are spread more evenly. You keep trading and the ratio improves as you add more days.
When it is checked
- On challenges, when the target is reached.
- On Funded and Fty Direct accounts, when you request a payout.
Tip
Trade a similar size every day. If you have one very big day, lower your risk afterwards and let the following days bring the ratio down.
