Is the account simulated or real?
All Ftytrade accounts are simulated accounts on real-time market data. Your payouts are real and paid from the company’s own funds.
Updated October 11, 2026
Every Ftytrade account — Challenge, Funded and Fty Direct — is a simulated account. You trade on real-time market data from CME Group, but no live orders are placed on an exchange on your behalf.
What “simulated” means
- Your orders are executed in a simulated environment that follows the real market tick by tick.
- Prices, spreads and volatility are real; the fills happen in simulation.
- You never deposit trading funds and you never risk your own money beyond the fee you paid.
Why it works this way
Simulated accounts let us evaluate your skill and manage risk consistently for every trader, while giving you the exact feel of live futures trading. It also means the most you can ever lose is the fee for your account.
Are the payouts real?
Yes. The results you generate on a Funded or Fty Direct account are paid out in real money, from Ftytrade’s own funds — not from any pooled client money. When you request a payout and it is approved, you are paid your share for real.
