What happens if I breach a Funded account?

The account is closed automatically and you receive an email with the reason. Any payout already approved is still paid. You can start a new challenge or Fty Direct account anytime.

A Funded account is closed if you break the Max Drawdown rule or a prohibited trading practice. It happens automatically and in real time.

What triggers a breach

  • Max Drawdown (end of day): your end-of-day balance falls below the drawdown level. This is the main rule that closes the account.
  • Prohibited practices: sharing or managing the account, copying trades from third parties, or any activity listed in the Terms of Use.

The Daily Loss Limit and the Consistency rule do not close the account — the daily limit only pauses trading for the session, and consistency only delays a payout.

What happens when it closes

  1. Open positions are flattened and the account is set to Closed.
  2. You receive an email with the exact reason and the figures behind it.
  3. Your dashboard shows the account as closed with its full history.
  4. Any payout that was already approved is still paid.

Can I reset a Funded account?

No. A closed Funded account cannot be reset. But you can start again at any time:

  • Buy a new challenge (Rapid or Steady) and earn a new Funded account.
  • Or buy an Fty Direct account and trade for payouts from day one.

Think it was a mistake?

Contact our support team from your dashboard with the account number. Every closure is logged with the exact data, and our team will review it with you.
