What is R|Trader and why do I have to log in there first?

R|Trader is the web platform from Rithmic, the provider that powers your account’s market data and connection. Before you trade on any other platform, you log in to R|Trader one time to complete two required steps.

What you do in R|Trader (first login)

1. Accept the market data agreements — required by the exchange before you can receive live data.
2. Select your Market Data status — choose Non-Professional.

Once these are done, you can connect your chosen platform (TradingThings, Quantower or MotiveWave) with the same credentials.

Why it is required

• The exchange requires every trader to agree to the market data terms directly.
• Your Non-Professional status must be set before data can be delivered at the correct rate.
• This is a one-time setup — you do not need to repeat it each session.

Choose Non-Professional — this matters

Always select Non-Professional. Choosing Professional by mistake multiplies the market data cost and can lead to your account being suspended. If you selected Professional by accident, contact our support team right away.

How to log in

1. Open R|Trader (web).
2. Enter the Login and Password from Dashboard › Accounts › Credentials.
3. Accept the agreements and select Non-Professional.
4. Open your trading platform and connect with the same credentials.
