Is copy trading or automated trading allowed?

Automated trading with your platform’s own tools and indicators is allowed. Copying another trader’s positions or trades automatically into your account is not.

You can automate your own trading, but you cannot mirror someone else’s trades into your account.

Allowed

  • Automated strategies built with your platform’s own tools (TradingThings, Quantower, MotiveWave).
  • Standard indicators and your own rules or bots that you run on your own account.
  • Trading your own accounts the way you choose, including running the same strategy on several of your own accounts.

Not allowed

  • Copy trading that automatically copies the operations or positions of another trader into your account.
  • Any service or tool that mirrors a third party’s trades to your account.
  • Letting someone else trade your account for you.

Why

Each account must reflect your own trading decisions. Copying another trader’s positions automatically means the account is no longer being traded by you, which is why it is not allowed and leads to the account being closed.

The simple test

  • Are these your own decisions and your own strategy, running on your own account? Allowed.
  • Are the trades coming from another person’s account or signal, copied automatically to yours? Not allowed.

If you are unsure

Before using any automation or copy tool, contact our support team from your dashboard and describe how it works. They will tell you if it is allowed.
